What is the most difficult time of the day for you when it comes to not eating, whether you're fasting, or trying to keep from binging, or maybe just counting calories? For example, I have this tendency to fall into an "I want to eat everything" mindset at around eleven PM when I'm not fasting. I imagine it's something of a "panic" response that came about from all my times of not allowing myself to eat once midnight came around. I'm still in that mindset now.

What part of the day is the most difficult for you?

Same, 10-11pm!

My mind goes "well the day is almost over so you can just restart tomorrow, just eat and then sleep and pretend nothing happened" and it's SO HARD to ignore the thoughts!

So I just go and brush my teeth, makes me feel like the day is finished and now it's time to rest instead of eat (+ awful taste of toothpaste and food), works every time!

for me, 6-8pm. this is usually around the time that i've just eaten dinner and know that i can't eat anything else for the rest of the night without going over my calorie limit. the stress of not having that caloric leeway can make it a lot more difficult for me to stay on track.

Honestly? Breakfast (5:45-6:30). I think it has something to do with the fact that I consume most of my fats at this time, and seeing as it's that time of the month + my body isn't getting a lot of nutrients, it craves as much as it can get. Luckily, I haven't given into the urges.

when i'm home alone (although sometimes i have easier time fasting if noone to watch my intake)

commute home from work is a big trigger. there's so many places to stop and get food to eat at home.

being out with friends

also, eating. once I have a small snack, it's SO HARD to stop. but, if I don't start, I can go for quite a bit without it. This is why I skip breakfast most days.

After 9pm but mostly 10-11 so I’m going to bed earlier, the more you sleep the less you can eat! + you burn calls while sleeping so..

Like 2 am. I can restrict all day but I wake up in the middle of the night super hungry for some reason.

late at night for me. as soon as i start getting tired and make the decision to stay up rather than go to sleep it's like a switch flips in my brain and i want to eat everything i can get my hands on. literally 99% of my binges happen when i should be asleep

Around 4-6pm for me. It's when I usually eat my meal for the day so I guess that explains it. Should probably try and vary my meal times so I don't get so cranky in the afternoon..? 🤔

Mid-afternoon. Often between like 2 and 6 p.m. I typically do 16/8 IF with an average breaking time around 12 p.m. Depending on when and how much I eat I can get cravy not long after and its the battle between whether I should try to suppress my hunger/craving, eat just a little bit, or eat a solid amount and only have a few calories for later.

After 8 PM. I try to save my calories so I can eat before I sleep but it's hard some days. Mornings are easier because I just drink coffee instead.

Definitely before bed, but my sleep schedule is wack so my bedtime varies a lot.

I also never used to eat breakfast but now I am eating something that’s considered a breakfast (even if it’s not technically “breakfast food” because I started having a hard time getting motivated for the day without it. Not sure why this changed like it did though.

So I’d rather eat in the morning and burn it off than eat at night and let it sit there while I sleep.
