I honestly can't puzzle out if I think it's healthy enough. Some people think so but there's also tons of sugar in prepackaged stuff. Plus it's basically just pure carb. I guess there's some vitamins and fiber in there but yeah. Iunno.

If you want it to taste good it won’t be low calorie lol

Also I get hungry fast af after eating it, I’d rather have meat for the same calories tbh.

You came onto a website called proana and you're mad I'm talking casually about things I refuse to eat? If you don't want people to be open about their disorders you can go to tumblr instead where they keep their shit on lock

Uh. No. I've had this account and been active this website for probably about a year but I've had multiple accounts on and off since 2013. I've been disordered as hell for the better part of a decade. I just don't understand why someone's upset about triggering content on a website that is blatantly pro anorexia. I've never had anyone react to my posting of triggering content that way and I'm a bit taken aback

Good for bowel movements, passes through quickly and softly so goes a great way at reducing pain from either constipation or an empty digestive tract. Protein powder seems to work even better, but coupled together they simply keep things easy. Note: any other form of oats tends to work just as well.

I was once told that you are what you eat and then I just cried and cried and cried cause no matter how much I wanted to be one I just couldn't bring myself to eating a skinny person.

Like that they’re warm, like you can have milk or water, like toppings, but the actual stuff...? Hmm not sure
I love when people make em look all pretty though!

Edit: plus overnight oats can be really nice in summer when it’s hot

I have it for breakfast every morning.
I cook 40-50g oats with 350mL of water or almond breeze and put in lots of cinnamon, small amount of nut butter and 50g of raspberries. As a volume eater, I really appreciate that they dissolve in a huge amount of water so well. Even better if you do it like this: https://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/kozyshack-oatmeal-pudding/
Oats contain more protein than other grains, also a fair amount of fiber and the carbs are mostly complex carbs. Also lots of minerals - zinc, iron and lots of other good stuff.

Huge safe food.

Just don't buy the pre-packed stuff, totally bullshit.

big safe food and I love the taste. But then again, I've been eating it since childhood. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be oatmeal tbh.

 

Now, nutritionally: it has a bunch of good minerals and impressive macros for a grain. My body doesn't handle most whole-grains too well but the soluble fiber in oats help whatever stomach/digestion trouble I have. 

 

I combine mine with a little protein powder, berries or applesauce and am currently drinking my own meal replacement shakes made from mostly oats. Plus it's almost as cheap as white flour or pasta where I live.

oats are my safest not-fruit carb i love them. oatmeal is delicious! with 1/2 cashew milk 1/2 water and stevia and spices and an apple! ugh i could die.

Hi,

 

Oatmeal is a huge safe food for both my anorexia and orthorexia. Full of fibers, proteins, minerals, very filling, one of the better carbs you could eat !

 

As for me, I have a bowl of oatmeal almost every morning since February, and that breakfast not only keeps me full till lunch, but also is delicious with spices (like cinnamon, cardamom, tumeric, anise seeds), and fruits (like an apple, a tangerine, a kiwi, a banana), for example. My bowls are usually between 300 and 500 calories, depending on my hunger, what is planned for lunch and dinner, and what I want to eat. It is mostly 400 calories more or less, and totally worth it. And I put a lot of topping, obviously ! I know it could seem very calorific, but even with a big oatmeal with 500 calories in it, I can have a total of 1000 calories for the day, wich is quite low restriction for me, eventhough I'm very small, because I'm sporty (and in recovery, but my brand new orthorexia makes everything more complicated...)
