Came here to say this lmao.. starved myself, abused Adderall, caffeine, and bronkaid, ran 10 miles in the desert in the summer on barely any calories, binged until I wanted to die and then fasted for days following... all risky facets of having an ED

Injecting amphetamine for several weeks straight. I lost a fabulous amount of weight almost automatically, but it was a dangerous game and I almost died.

Yeah I didn’t eat for 12 straight days and by like day 3 the adrenaline was getting so bad so I started doing vodka and diet soda every night just to fall asleep and I could tell it was very quickly fucking up my heart. my chest hurt to walk at my normal power walk speed. On a flat surface.

0/10 recommend. Fasting can be fine if you’re a healthy weight or higher but wtf was I thinking shoving vodka into my system and nothing else

For 12. Straight. Days.

Also, I totally put myself into psychosis for like 2-3 months afterwards. The drinking continued but I started re-binging. I lost so much so fast and continued to flirt with 3-5 day fasts that it took me over 3 months of insanity to regain what I lost. But I totally lost my mind and I spent a lot of my savings on really stupid stuff that I now wish I had not. Ofc it didn’t help that my life had just been ruined because of covid and I was stuck indefinitely in the middle of nowhere with the most toxic family ever, no car, and no friends.

That was the riskiest this ever got for me. Straight up starving for days, drinking, then drinking and suddenly plowing my system with 4,000 food calories. The alcohol totally screwed up the hormones and my body continually thought it was starving for months. I had to talk to myself and be like “Yes you lost X weight very very fast but it doesn’t count because you gave yourself psychosis and your body didn’t know what to do so it forced you to regain it all so you can’t do an ineffective strategy like that again.”

Yeah, i mean everything about an ED is risky and i've been all over the spectrum, "tried" more symptoms than I can remember

 

I would say though that the DUMBEST thing I've ever done was using Ipecac multiple times--

I mean the first time, not smart obviously, but knowing it felt like DYING...

and STILL doing it?

That is gold-star stupid right there.

Purging soup one hr after 8 teeth extraction. Eating one piece of tomato a day. Dividing slice of bread into 25 pieces and dissolving one piece in my mouth every 2 hrs

I’ve done a lot of stupid shit including just like others have said the extreme starvation. Made a real big mistake once though: Diet pills + cocaine in one day to keep up fasting. Didn’t eat for days, stayed up the entire night with zero sleep and then decided to try to go for a run at 6am. I thought my heart was going to absolutely explode. Once I got myself to a point I didn’t think I was going to have a heart attack, I basically slumped down on the golf course I was running by and passed out.

Abusing duromine and ephedrine.

Smoking meth on weekends in order to fast all weekend (been a few years since that, wouldn’t do it again or recommend anyone else do it)

Driving despite head spins

Plenty more but that’s all I can think of

when depression hits with my fucked up eating habits i like to purposely break the cold chain of what i eat or eating undercooked foods so i get sick (it never happened somehow)
that some alternative way of self harm i often do lmao i also sometimes purposely don’t drink enough water/drink too much, make poor food choices
i don’t know what’s wrong with me

Lived 2 months just on sf soda, cigarettes and 2-3 chicken breasts a day, no salt or fat added.

Would exercise so much in order to burn all the calories i consumed in a day.

Would abuse laxatives and orlistat to lose some extra weight.
