This is a ~8 ish week summary (Phase 3). I can't keep up with my behavior anymore. I've been doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The craziest thing is that I KNEW this would happen ---it was a huge thing that I warned myself about on the very first post.

 

Here goes... I haven't been logging my actual daily intake for the past two phases (~13 weeks total). Instead, I would log what I allowed myself for that day and make up those calories the next day, or week, or whatever. And surprise, surprise I'm not very good at it and they've been piling up for the past 8 weeks (as they did for the 5 week period before that). This was partly because of my efforts each day to fast all the calories away that resulted in me eating more than what I would normally if I had just logged everything in the first time and left the past in the past.

 

Even with the 'binge days' during which I allowed myself to log and 'makeup' more of those extra calories that I didn't log in from the past, I have 7850 calories on my separate log that aren't in this food diary.

 

Average calories per day without exercise: 1520
Average calories per day with exercise: 1490

HAD I DITCHED THE 7850 UNLOGGED CALS
Average calories per day without exercise: 1370
Average calories per day with exercise: 1340

My calorie stats are about the same as Phase 2, and i haven't been able to exercise much because of schooling. As with last time, I can’t provide weight info right now because I am scared to (and im bloating from my period), but I think it’s safe to conclude from all the previous phases that I pretty much maintain my weight at 1500 calories/day.

 

OKAY--Phase 4 will look a lot different from the previous ones: my day-to-day calorie stats will be wayy more scattered numerically speaking, but way more consistent in that I need to STRICLY abide by these guidelines that DID work for me a year ago when I was first recovering from the binge/purge cycle:

  • Sit down meals only
  • No snacking
  • No fasting
  • NO EATING IN FRONT OF THE TV
  • LOG ALL YOUR CALORIES CONSUMED EACH DAY - IF YOU OVEREAT ONE DAY, YOU ARE FORGIVEN, JUST START FRESH THE NEXT DAY AND WITH TIME, HABITS WILL DEVELOP.
