In case you keep a food diary, when do you log your food? I like to log before I eat because then I know how many calories I am consuming but sometimes it is impossible. When you are out with other people or stuff. Also sometimes I feel like I dont want it anymore when I see the calories.

I track while I prepare my food. If I eat out, I try to check before I go for kcal and already track it. Or I track as soon as possible, if I didn't know where we go before. But that's frustrating because I might go over my limit....

i plan my meals for the day beforehand (when i wake up or the day before) so i know what i'm looking forward to and that it fits in my limit fine. i usually exercise off ~100 though in case i need it (unless it's a weekend, where i'll just add 100 to my limit instead)

I log within minutes before or after
I do not eat outside of my home EVER so no issues

Well I plan and write out my meal plan in my notes on my phone usually the day before, sometimes a few days in advanced? If like I know I’m planning on having something in particular on maybe Friday? I’d just plan it all out on my phone for fun days before lol

But then I don’t actually record my food - in my handwritten food planner until the next day - just in case I decide last minute to alter something due to a certain craving or feeling full before eating everything I had planned 🤷‍♀️

I always plan my day in the mornings before having anything. If I make any changes I go back and edit my food log.

I do calculations in my head throughout the day and log at the end. I only plan one or two meals ahead, if that.

I have an Excel table with the meals planned two, sometimes three weeks ahead. 

Outside of  ED context, this also helps save a lot of money on groceries!
