How are the yolks when you do this?

I hate runny yolk and will never be able to eat that. So are they runny?

For reference I always boil my eggs for 10 minutes.

You're welcome! Let me know how it turns out :)

It depends how long you leave it in the microwave. I like my yolks runny, but if I leave it too long, they are very solid.

Im bumping this bc I recently discovered microwaved eggs. Game changer for real! I do OMAD so I tend to make mine quite large in an oversized mug.

Microwave Omelet in a Mug

*1-3 eggs (or just whites depending on cal goals)
*Splash milk of choice (I use unsweetened almond)
*ALL the diced veggies I can find
*Cheese of Choice (reduced fat mild cheddar and Daiya mixed together are my go-to depending on where my macros need to be balanced)
*Sea Salt
*Pepper

1.add ground pepper and pink Himalayan sea salt to egg and milk and whip it up by hand in mug.
2.Then add all the veggies, diced as small as you want them (I like em small) and stir it up
3. Microwave on high, stirring every 45-60 secs. Edges will cook faster, centre will be runny. Just keep folding it til ALMOST done
4. IF adding cheese, add when egg is 15 secs from ready. But add mostly in a circle and not to centre of mug so that cheese cooks evenly (think of a donut shape). Cheese will act as barrier so as not to overcook egg and rest of egg in centre will finish cooking.
5. Continue on high for desired meltiness.

NOTES:
-Get as much moisture off of veg as possible before adding to egg. If using frozen veg, cook/defrost and drain h20 before adding. I use paper towels on tomatoes, peppers, etc.
-Best condiments Ive found are Franks, Salsa and No-Sugar Ketchup (my fave) but if using cheese you dont even need any
-dont forget to stir those eggs! Itll stop them from going hard in certain spots, cook evenly and stop sticking to mug without oil:)
-this meal is SO filling. I can keep it around 500cals (or way less without add ons), low carb and not want anything else for the day

VEGGIE EXAMPLES:
FRESH-green onion-tomatoes-Bell pepper
-mushroom
FROZEN/CANNED-Peas-carrots -broccoli -cauliflower -Beans etc

LoL, Ive done this. I just means they were in there too long. Just do about 10-30 seconds at a time and keep an eye on it. It's worth it once you get the hang of it.

High restricting is the way for me because slow and steady wins the race. As far as I'm concerned, as long as you end the day on a calorie deficit, you have won.
