my inquiry for studio art is insecurities! my first few pieces have been of women (because we generally have more insecurities, at least that the media knows about), but this is my first piece portraying a male subject! on the wall he's standing on, you can see the words "confident" repeatedly, but in the shadows behind him is a wall that has the word "insecure" on it. the subject is a fairly confident looking guy; he's rocking a mullet, a gap tooth, has his shirt up to reveal his abs-- all things that you'd have to be confident for, right? i wanted to emphasize the fact that though someone may seem confident on the outside, we all have our hidden insecurities :) enjoy!
