SW: Unknown (approx. 194lbs)
Day 1: Feb 12th 2020 (weigh in tomorrow because I already had coffee and 5 bite lunch)
GW1: 180 lbs
GW2:165 lbs
GW3: 150 lbs (End of 5 Bites, Start of IF)
UGW: 135 lbs (End of IF, Maintenance 4x week)

 

History/FAQs:

  • Have done diet before from 205lbs to 159lbs (early 2018)
  • Took approx. 5 months including cheat meals, cheat days, and booze
  • Went from size 16(US) to 10(US)
  • Maintained weight loss for 2+ yrs (within a 10lbs up/down margin)
  • Quarantine fkd it up gained 30+ lbs in 2020
  • Other Stats: 5'ft 4"in 14(US) Jeans (XL bottoms, L tops)
  • Body shape: Pear/Triangle

My Personal Plan:

  • Bfast Coffee: Any coffee, 2 oz almond milk, 2 packs Stevia, cinnamon iced or hot.
  • Lunch: 3 bites Protein, 2 bites carbs
  • Snacks: tea (splash of almond milk for black tea only), diet soda, seltzer, water, gum or sugar free hard candy
  • Dinner: 3 bites Protein, 2 bites carbs
  • Before bed: 2 bites protein (if needed) and tea
     

 

What about cheat meals/days?

Only for social reasons! Ex: night out, bday, game night, date etc.
You win some you lose some. It's how it's done.

Breakfast: iced coffe w. 2 oz. almond milk, 2 stevia pcs, cinnamon.
Lunch: 3 bites of fried egg, 2 bites of banana
Snack: diet coke, seltzer, 2 gummy multivitamins
Dinner: 3 tbs chicken curry, 2 tbs rice
Snack #2: diet coke
Before Bed: Chamomile Tea with a splash of almond milk, 1 stevia pcs, and cinnamon, (edit: 1 bite of think protein bar)

I'm doing this diet too and I'm 193lbs today (down from 196). Best of luck xxx My goals are similar to yours too.

I'm doing this diet too and I'm 193lbs today (down from 196). Best of luck xxx My goals are similar to yours too.

Thanks so much! I've seen success with it before, and hope to ride it till about bmi 23-24, will switch to something else then perhaps.

Sanity Saving Reminders:

  • Almond milk or any added milk should be plain and unsweetened and very low in calories. Plain unsweetened almond milk has 30 cals per cup, meaning 1 ounce has only 3 calories and makes a great creamer substitute when combined with zero cal sweeter and natural spices/flavoring.
  • Can take up to 2 extra protein bites before bed according to Dr. Alwin Lewis himself to avoid acid buildup and insomnia.
  • It's hard to eat like a gastric bypass patient when your stomach isn't thumb sized, but the purpose of this diet is exactly that!
  • Remember that even if you mess up by a tiny bit. No mess up is big enough to throw in the towel, every day you reset your stomach to handle a smaller amount of food.
  • Stick to multivitamins if you love your hair, nails, skin and libido.
  • A habit is usually formed in 15-30 days.
  • DRINK WATER AND TEA!! (Anyone up north knows we need the tea right now because restricting during cold months is painful af.)

CW: 192 (phew! was expecting to lose nothing or water gain)

-2 lbs!

Apologies for not updating but I lost more anyways! Yay! Had a busy weekend out the house. Ate a lot due to social reasons, but kept it as light as possible (except for the heavy breakfast yesterday to cure a hangover, which thankfully I had with tea at least so no extra crazy calories)
All in all I could have been about 190 lbs by now, but it is Vday weekend and also president's day today in the US, which makes it a free day from work. The good thing is that even when adding booze and little cheats here and there, I am reducing by a lot while having whatever I want. Had a somewhat light Vday dinner although not a full plate.

My best days are days when I work. So stay tuned for some real progress in the next 4 days. On these type of days it's 0.5- 1.0 lbs a day, and sometimes 2 lbs if I stay away from carbs, but I can't live without at least 2-3 bites of something carby.

Calories so far?
Regular days = 500-650
Social days = 750-1250

 

Lunch today is 5 bites left over salmon, 3 bites of salad (it's just leaves lol)  and iced brewed tea with stevia.
