everyone that comes over to my house gives me the most bizarre look when they saw my Hello Kitty children's sectioned plates and pokemon swirly straws.
my friends came over the other day and sure enough they were like.. you got a baby we don't know about?
lol. I love baby plates and silverware and stuff because 1. with a sectioned plate you can put tiny amounts of food for restricting 2. young at heart lol

i love sectioned plates, my family buys them for me as a joke for holidays, but i love them lol baby silverware, too.
i don't like my food to touch, and i like to use tiny utensils~ ♥

I 100% get that, I prefer my foods not touch.
It is/was an ARFID thing, got better when my ADHD got medicated interestingly.

I buy baby paper plates that are sectioned off - they have little ears (like pandas, etc.) and their face is where the main food goes. Then I don't even have to wash them.

no? because i moved out already and had to buy my own stuff?
my plates are from a japanese surplus shop. don't know if that's a thing in your country. so i have many many plates that are small. helps w portioning. caveat: eating elsewhere, learning to deal w normal plate lol

I'd love to have one and there are very cute designs that I've been eyeing but I know my parents would probably judge me for wanting them. Makes everything look neater if it's all sorted out tbh and, of course, portion control! Most plates tend to be white so I adore all the colored ones that make my food more visible.

whoa..... my therapist and doctor both want me to see an ADHD specialist..... I haven’t told them about my eating issues but I’m fairly certain I have/had ARFID. As an adult, I’ve forced myself to allow some foods to touch and to try new foods. I’m so grateful I’ve been able to “overcome” a few of my phobias but I’m really starting to see a connection between my issues, ADHD, and possibly OCDI 100% get that, I prefer my foods not touch.
It is/was an ARFID thing, got better when my ADHD got medicated interestingly.

i tried this when I was kid; I also wanted a different utensil for each food. Needless to say, that didn’t last long! Of course it also resulted in me wiping my utensil off on my napkin for many years.. but I’ve (mostly) been able to stop that habit, as wellI just use separate bowls and plates for each food. I can see the appeal.
