After binging a fair amount lately (emotion dysregulation related as opposed to restriction related), I’m giving 5:2 a go (‘fast’ for two non consecutive days and eat tdee for the other five).

I have done 5:2 in the past,
and I will do it again when I will go on maintenance mode (because currently i am in the process of losing 14kg from which I have lost 6 since the 11th of January)
5:2 is not fasting 2 days per week as you mention in your OP,
its eating 5 days on your TDEE and then 2 days of the week you eat 500 calories

Over 1kg down and no binges so far (my main goal whilst still losing weight so last week was quite gentle restriction wise).
Aiming to get sub 126lbs (57.14kgs) by April 12th which works out at 1.5lbs per week. Topping up the calorie difference with trying 4:3 (instead of 5:2 if I can hack it), walking and exercise to make the maths work.
Started from 61kgs, 134.5lbs, 5ft 6, 22.9% body fat.

GW1 - 126lbs (57.1kgs)

Down another KG overnight (yesterday was a low calorie day so might be an artificial low for now ). In total that’s 2.3kg (5lbs) loss in 8 days and am 3.4lbs from my initial goal.
Overall it’s not feeling too hard but trying 4:3 this week to see how that goes. Hopefully no binges, fingers crossed!

Imma keep updating this just as a log of progress
58.8kgs this morning after an ‘up’ day yesterday (129.65lbs). Didn’t feel any urge to binge or any urge to overeat which is good. Although maybe spurred on by the fact it’s not worked out with the guy I was dating... more for the motivation though to keep it up for when I decide to date again
Low calorie day today and have planned in a salad, yoghurt and some fruit but going to take it as it comes and see how I feel as to how much I eat.

Down to 58.2kgs this morning (after a ‘down’ day) which is 128.3lbs so that’s a 2.8kg (6lbs) loss so far since the beginning of March.
2.3lbs to go till I reach my first goal and will set another after that.

Down to 57.9kgs (127.6lbs) this morning which means I’m only 1.6lbs away from my first goal of 126lbs
Stunned at how my weight has come down so far.
I know my weight will go up over the next couple of days as my next low calorie day is Monday but happy to be close to my goal and before my initial timeline of mid April.
Things I’ve noticed since starting this nearly two weeks ago is my face looks way less bloated, so far I’ve had no urges to binge which is beyond a miracle, my skin seems clearer (although it is a good time of the month for me skin wise, pre ovulation). My stomach is way less bloated too which is an area I body check a lot (as well as my face) and the gap between my thighs is returning!
I would say that my sleep has been affected with waking up in the night on low calorie days and sometimes my mind is racing before I go to sleep but I’d say I’m still getting enough to function (with a slight assistance from dr caffeine before 1pm). Concentration is slightly lower but manageable.
Fingers crossed for another good week (and hopefully no de-railing by PMS which normally starts 10 days before my period - nightmare!)

Still no urge to binge which is an absolute miracle This way of eating seems to down regulate appetite, idk if anyone else has found that?
Still at 57.9kgs, keeping in mind that weight loss isn’t linear and it’ll likely be lighter by the end of the week if I stick at it
Did a leg workout today too to try to maintain as much muscle as possible so likely will weigh more tomorrow due to water weight. Kinda curious to see what affect it has tbh.

Still going with my 4:3 and have a weigh in tomorrow. Finding eating fibre and diet soda is helping to make it easier, as well as drinking lots of water (and coffee too )
Hoping to hit my lowest yet but won’t be too discouraged if not as I measured my waist today and it’s down to 26 and 2/3 inches which I’m deliriously happy with. Plus my definition is getting better muscle wise and I don’t feel my strength has changed much (something I’m keen to keep)

At my lowest yet!!! And my waist has gone down to 26 1/4 inches.
Weighed in today at 57.4kgs (126.5lbs). Not a huge drop but a drop nonetheless and means that I’m only half a pound away from the goal of 126lbs It’s finally feeling achievable with my original goal end date still three weeks away. Conscious though that last time I’ve gotten close to any goal weight wise, I’ve self sabotaged. Has anyone else found that?
Still no binges which I’m beyond chuffed about after a binge-filled period at the start of the year but today marks the day my pms symptoms usually ramp up (10 days out) so mega keen to not de-rail. Also curious to see the PMS effects as apparently this way of eating can reduce bad symptoms
