At first it was but after two years of doing it it’s not anymore for me personally and I really want to quit more than I ever wanted to quit cigarettes tbh. I wouldn’t recommend starting if you haven’t it’s really changed my brain chemistry and dopamine/reward center and exacerbated the heart problems I already had from my ed.

The part of vaping that probably works as an appetite suppressant is the nicotine, I would guess, same as smoking cigarettes.

As other users mentioned, nicotine only works to give you the "fun effects" (like the slight high, appetite suppression, etc) for a short time. Later you'll build a tolerance to these effects and then you'll just be addicted. As someone who used to smoke cigarettes, absolutely not worth it, very hard to quit (especially as nicotine use is socially acceptable and ubiquitous).

Also, if I have too much nicotine it DOES suppress my appetite but then it makes me really shaky and then I HAVE to eat or I'll get sick. Food for thought. Be careful with doses on things like patches.

Doesn’t do much for my appetite it’s more of a distraction than anything. you’re better off having a coffee. The appetite suppression from nicotine is in no way worth risking a nicotine addiction. If you don’t already smoke, don’t start vaping. If you’re wanting to quit smoking, vaping is a godsend and one of the best decisions I have ever made but I would never recommend it so someone who isn’t doing it to quit smoking

doesn't suppress shit for me lol, it's just that the repetitive motion is a good distraction. and it's easier than you think to become addicted to nicotine so just be careful. there's nic-free vape juices that are probably less harmful than those with nic

Try vape with 0% nicotine if you can. Trust me, I didn’t think I would get addicted to nic 10 years ago when I started socially smoking, it will happen if you let it and it’s extremely hard to quit it. You won’t even know you’re hooked until you try to go without

It doesn’t really suppress my appetite but it’s great for my oral fixation. I’m constantly hitting my vape or clutching it in my hand.
