How long have you been binging & purging? What side effects are you experiencing?

Going on 5 years. Teeth are fucked, in pain all the time, ended up with a Mallory-Weiss tear a few months ago which was awful. Dry ass hands with cracked knuckles. Money down the drain. Makeup getting ruined. Lying to everyone all the time.
I start treatment in 2 weeks, wish me luck, I NEED to get out of this hell

started when i was 13, just purged regular meals when i felt like it. thought i'd stop at one point.

got really bad when i was 15 and 16,

then i think i recovered a little at 17.

relapsed at 18.

stopped from 19-20 for a bit but here and there...

21-22 was full blown anorexia b/p subtype

now I'm 23 and i have purging disorder.

so i guess 10 years on and off but i think i really slipped deep into my disorder in august 2019, even though ive always had it since young..

idk if that made sense

Since November last year it started and has gotten worse since. It got extremely bad extremely quick. In no time I started b/p 4+ times a day. Lots of money wasted. I'm incredibly dehydrated all the time. I developed gallstones and have the occasional attack if I dont purge thoroughly which stopped any hope of recovery so now I'm just in constant fear. I literally never use the bathroom. I have to take a bunch of laxatives every two weeks and spend the night in pain. I'm exhausted all the time. My teeth hurt. I cant do anything anymore bc I'm either b/p or cant stop thinking about food. I had to give my savings to someone I trust because I couldn't trust myself with the money. And I'm actually gaining weight right now which is such a nightmare and I'm so fucking terrified. I have many deficiencies. My hair is extremely thin. I mean it just goes on. I didn't know it would get this bad so soon.

first purged 7 years ago, it's been a constant cycle between restriction/binge-purging/purging without binging since then.

i've been purging every day for just over a year now.

9 years ago, the first three years was everyday. Then 3 relapsing constantly, and then 3 almost "clean", this year I relapsed. My teeth are ruined, I had 5 really bad cavities, my mouth corners too. I haven't go to the doctor yet to discuss my constant acid reflux but I had anemia for a long time. Another side effect is I know how to clean very good the bathroom and pretend I'm cured lol.

I purged like once in 2015 and it fucking terrified me because it was a rush but I knew how dangerous it is so I've just stuck with classic fasting/ restricting. I just knew how easy it'd be to slip into it ya know? Still kinda scared of doing it honestly

16 years straight and I’m still somehow physically alright, never been hospitalized or experienced medical scares in regards to purging

5 years of bulimia. I'm 25 now so that's a solid 20% of my life dedicating to b/ping. You can say that it's the only thing I have never given up on.

First purge attempt st 9. I was vegetarian and accidentally ate gelatine in a yogurt so panicked, cried and used a spoon (dumb) nd fingers to vomit it. I was so shocked I never tried again.

I'm now 30, barfing since 17. I used laxatives and restricted purely since 14-15.

But what kid wants to be a veggie at
7yo??? Says enough.
Often found hiding, does not like to be found, will probably cry and puke on you.

It could well be related. Chest pain is serious and should always be checked out.

You might also need an ECG.

Heart problems are a known risk of purging
