I couldn't find this topic, so I'm starting one since this stretch is going to be hard for me I think. Apologies if this already exists.

The 140's are where my height starts to enter a "normal" bmi range. But I want to be at the low end of this normal range before the end of this year, so I need to push through.

Anyone else out there who needs to commiserate?

I feel your pain I got stuck at 140 last time I restricted i'm back up to 175 :(  I found switching up to cardio or just changing up exercise to something different helps :> stay strong   <3

Yeah, at some point I'm gonna have to up my exercise. But I find it increases my appetite and makes a calorie deficit more difficult for me. I haven't figured out a good strategy for this yet. I really rely on one "big meal" a day to help me manage my binge/overeating issue. Breaking that up into small meals thru out the day has never worked for me. But I think I'm gonna have to make it work somehow.   :(

Have you tried black coffee or green tea? I personally keep a huge jug of water around me constantly so whenever I'm tempted in the day I just drink water. But my secondary way is to do two medium meals. I have a low cal but high bulk breakfast (frozen fruit and Greek yogurt *I know it's spooky but think protien instead of cals and always go for the unflavoured*) then I workout 45 mins after I eat and then just drink water for the rest of the day until dinner. Dinner is usually chicken breast or other low fat meat and very low cal vegetables. The goal for me is always high bulk but low cal :> I hope that helps a bit :> also bell peppers are a life saver. 30 cals and you get so much food like I eat two with some romaine lettuce and chicken breast for 345 cals and like I feel full :>

Oh yeah, we had a thread like this but you would have to go back several pages to find it. It’s good you made a new one; I was always annoyed going back to find it.

I’m sitting at between 148 and 149 at the moment, high restricting, exercising, and losing about a pound or so a week. So I’ll probably be here for a while lol. I remember I was in the 150s for almost 2 months and it was torture. But I feel like this will be more sustainable over time. Even though it’ll take me the better part of a year to reach my goal weight (around 115-120), I know this is something I can keep up long term.

What are you doing for weight loss these days?

I'm really just doing cico. I read Conquering Fat Logic by Nadja Hermann and remembered that I used to naturally have many small behaviors that kept me in a decent weight range despite my binging problems. Until I met my hubs that is! Over time (15 yrs) I started eating more bec he really likes us to always eat together and eat the same thing. So much so that he's a meat eater but eats vegan around me so we "match." Lol we sound weird, but whatever. Anyway, I finally had a successful confrontation with him about this and then I started with a calorie limit of 1200, but was consistently eating below that everyday. I realized an 800 calorie limit wouldn't be a problem for me, so that's what I've been doing. I'm losing slowly tho bec I'm old and I've made a strategic decision to limit exercise while I'm reducing to avoid injury etc. I do still workout some, mostly yoga, and it's so weird, but my Galaxy watch always tells me that the calories burned during my yoga are higher than the calories I burn running! So I really don't care about exercise anymore

I've tried cico in the past but always with really cheap food scales. This time I upgraded to a decent scale (Tanita) and it's made all the difference. Now that I can get reasonably accurate weights, I've been able to address all the really dumb mistakes I was making. Because my tdee is relatively low, it's easy to go over by a couple hundred calories or so a day. That was enough to keep me from losing weight. I'm so done with all that tho! For the first time in a long time, I feel confident I can get to my goal weight.  B)

I finally got out of the 140s and made it to 135 in about a week-ish. All thanks to Chinese ballerina tea.... its a life saver. After that I fasted for 36 hours and boom I reached 138. After that, eating salad and working out made it slowly go down to 135.

Ah, this is the perfect topic for me! Without water weight I am currently 141.0, so I'm so close to getting out of the 140's. Doing a 24h fast today and will see if anything changes.

EDIT: Ahhhhhh!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!! I woke up this morning, and w/o water weight I am 139.0!!!!!!!

Yes! The 140's are smack dab in the middle of the healthy BMI range for me and I'm trying to get out. My lowest ever was 142 and I'd love to break out of the 140's this time around. I was 147.4 this morning. . .

I got into the 140s at the end of last year and have been struggling to get out of it ever since. I've lost a bit of fat, gained a bit of muscle and flattened my tummy but my thighs are so big. I've only lost most of it in the past few weeks.

I need to slim down my arms and I want my tummy to be flatter. I have a lot of upper tummy fat for some weird reason. My UGW is to be at the low end of the normal BMI. I've created a calories in, calories out bullet journal spread to track my daily + weekly calorie intake.

That's all I have so far.

Ugh I ate too much today and now i'm pretty certain my scale is broken. . .  I was 147.4 yesterday and it told me a few different numbers today, it couldn't make up its mind. I know I'm somewhere between 145 and 149, but that's a huge range and it's annoying not being able to know for sure...

149.2 this morning, so new to this thread! Historically for me, this is where the loss slows down by a lot. Just hoping I can make it through as fast as possible down to the 130’s, definitely could use some accountability.
