I really want to do a long fast, like days long, so I can just get that numb feeling - I genuinely loved doing this when I was living at uni. But now I'm home with parents and under ED services. My parents have the number for my team, even though I'm 21, for in case I do anything stupid and my mum would probably text my nurse if she noticed what I was doing. But would anything actually happen? I have an anorexia diagnosis but I'm not actually below the anorexia bmi threshold, I'm just underweight at the moment, so would they just tell me to eat but leave it at that? Anyone got any experience with this?

It depends on the severity of your case and your location I believe. I'm not sure if all states have the same procedure when it comes to forcing a person into a facility.

12 years ago my boss announced his lunch break with these wise words that I've never forgotten:

"If you don't eat, you don't shit. You don't shit, you die."

Btw I mean more in terms of what will happen because of ED services...not what will happen to me physically. I've done long fasts before but I wasn't under services then. I've seen someone put in hospital for not eating after like 3 days and I don't want that to happen. But would that if I'm not severely underweight?

Probably depends on where you live and what the general state of your health is aside from just weight, but severity of behaviours are a factor when it comes to hospitalising people as well.

depends really what your mental state is i'd say. also how much youve been fighting with ppl about it. like if youre a 'healthy' weight BUT refuse to eat for three days and fight a lot with people about it and are really upset, theyd be more willing to hospitalize you. but. ive done this before and cracked in the ER and ate some food and they let me go home after that. but only if you actually eat, right. but like i said it all depends
