I do this all the time! The weather has been too crazy to go out for a walk/run so I try to do so inside. I downloaded an app that counts my steps and I use that! Sometimes I go up and down my stairs to get to some of my steps, other times I just jog around my room, or walk through the house a few times. I find I'm a lot more motivated walking inside too. The highest steps I have gotten to inside was around a few thousand, I haven't been able to go past that, simply because I haven't given it a go!

Yeah I almost always do because I live in the subtropics and also a very violent area - six months of the year it's like a steam bath outside even at dawn. I don't want to run in the dark and get raped and murdered, haha

I just use a treadmill, but if you don't have one I guess walking/running in place/pacing to music to motivate you should work just as well

I walk around indoors sometimes, too self conscious to do it outside even if there wasn't a pandemic haha.

I find that being on the phone makes me want to pace.  I racked up like 2000 steps indoors the other day just having a conversation with a friend

I usually clean my apartment everyday (vacuum, mop floors, laundry etc) and walk through the apartment as much as possible. That gives me steps and something productive to do. I know most people don’t have to clean every single day and if you live with your parents it might also be weird if you did so idk, but since we have a puppy it gets kinda messy every day so that’s a valid reason for me to clean frequently. I track everything with my Fitbit watch.

I do this too! My phone counts my steps and I get between 12000 and 30000 steps everyday. While walking I listen to music or browse mpa so that time goes by faster

When I started working from home, I decided to run every day. Thus I get more energy and keep an active lifestyle. I also want to try yoga, they say it's super cool for health. To support all the body functions and take vitamins (buy them at Canadian pharmacy) and keep a balanced diet. To be honest, I like to keep a healthy lifestyle.

Pacing around is nice indoors but personally get more steps and faster pace when I have a goal location in mind :P but listening to eating disorder and weight loss videos is a good mid-pace motivator LOL X]

I clocked 10k steps on my fitbit today just doing a stupid little "walking in place" while watching videos and breaking it up with pacing when I was just listening to something.  I do this often, as I can feel too anxious to go outside and feel really comfortable just staying in my room lol.  I'd get a better workout at the gym or speed walking outside, probably, but I've just started exercising again after many months doing nothing and it's a decent start for now.

Yeah, but i do get less steps then when i walk on a treadmill or outside. I need to pace 1.5-2 hours to get 10k steps. But i usually watch some youtube or listen to some music to entertain me.
