I only post on this site about physical shit lol

Not idea why, but the corners of my mouth, not even my lips, have been kind of chapped / cracked for almost a week and I cannot figure out what to do about it.  I put Vaseline on them but it does nothing and it’s painful to open my mouth.  I ended up absent mindedly picking the sores yesterday too and it is not pleasant.  Anyone have ideas on how to get rid of them?

OOoooh I had this problems years ago and it got so bad I went to see the dermatologist. If I recall correctly, she suggested I switch the type of toothpaste I use because some of the ones with whitening in them can do this. I think she also prescribed some ointment to put on it that helped.

i'm dealing with this exact thing for the past week and was wondering what was causing it... never figured it out but i was consistently applying neosporin on it at night and increased my water intake. slightly better than it was and not painful anymore

drink more water for starters. put on a chapstick (the thicker the better) and then vaseline on top. alternatively try laneige's lip sleeping mask or elizabeth arden's lip repair balm.

I had this and a B-Complex vitamin helped me. I can't recall if mine was from a riboflavin or niacin deficiency. But the B supplement helped me.
