Just adding to my post - I was "unofficially" diagnosed at 22 but it didn't get put on my records until I reached 50 years old. Had to laugh when the Dr said "you are a highly unusual case, to develop this disorder at your age" thanks bro I've had it most my life but got away with it until now

So I'm basically an old carcass getting down with the kids I guess

40 - not formally diagnosed, but behaviors stem from early childhood... You're not alone.

27 - started writing โ€œfatโ€ on my stomach and skipping meals at age 8 so I guess it isnโ€™t just a teenage disorder on either end of the age spectrum

There is this thought that only thin white teenager girls are the ones who can get anorexia, and that the illness stop as soon as you turn 18 (as if it had an expiration date). But we all know that it's bullshit. I've been around older people who still suffer from it, and/or other disorders. I'm only 21 and i'm considered too old for this disorder, gotta love the ignorants that never shut up.

Is this still a thing in our society? People really are ignorant. Started around 14, worst point sometime between 15 and 16, recovered at 18, relapses at 20, 23, and now again at 26.

Well there have already been enough replies to prove people who say it's a teen thing wrong.

But here I go:

Developed it at age 16, so quite typical.
Am 25 now and still struggle with it.
In ED treatment I met two women around age 50 with AN, and a man around age 50 with BN who had had it for 40 years without realizing it's an ED because he thought the same, that it's a teen girl thing only.

"They say humans are social animals, they can't live alone. But you can live pretty well by yourself. I tell ya... instead of feeling alone in a group, it's better to have real solitude all by yourself."

HW/SW: 61 kg
CW: 49 kg

GW1: 49 kg

GW2: 48 kg
GW3: 47 kg

UGW: 46 kg
LW: 40 kg (pre-"recovery")

Here we go again
If your weight doesnt matter for ed why would age?
I'm 33
There are so so many adults with Ed's, why the fuck does being over 16/19/30/25 matter to eds?
This is so stupid
"Beatus istos ille, circa pes ad terra" (Blessed art thou with thier feet to the ground)<p>-RUNNING IS LIFE-
H - 5'9" goal - 99? Why not hahahahaha
I'm definitely falling in a rabbit hole now....
