does anyone have advice for starting harm reduction and moving my intake up a bit? I'm feeling so guilty just eating literally 25 cal more a day and just skipping a couple runs a week. I want to increase my intake up to 50 cal more a day and work towards halving my exercise

 

How do I deal with feeling guilty and lazy? What BMI did ya'll start maintanence or harm reduction at?

Could you try swapping some of your running sessions for strength training? That's not as energy intensive, so you won't be burning quite as much, but you're still getting your workouts in, so probably you won't feel as guilty as you fear

 

Plus, your muscles will probably get stronger (not necessarily bigger tho), which is always nice

how intense are your behaviors e.g. compensation. you will have to learn to eat and sit with it

Honestly, the best thing you can do is bite the bullet and increase. That's probably not what you want to hear, but the guilt will be there and the only way to get past it is to consistently challenge it by eating more. To increase, I slowly increased my portions of my safe foods and then, once the guilt from that had gotten to a more manageable place, I started incorporating new foods. I'm currently working on eating outside of my scheduled eating times. Each step has felt impossible until I did it. Good luck, and remember to take your vitamins and any prescription meds for harm reduction as well.

My BMI is 15.5 but my goal is 14.9. I eat 800 cal a day and my TDEE is about 1700. I’m currently trying to stop weighing and literally everything starting with vegetables. I don’t know how to increase up to like 850 bc I make the same meals all week I don’t know what to add on
