Personally I've always gone for high volume. in fact i've become so good at fitting insane amounts of food into ridiculously low calories that sometimes i freak out because i don't even believe that i'm possibly counting right. Every single thing I eat is very low calorie just out of habit, but i've been thinking recently i could try some new things and lower the volume of my "meals" since i've found i get very full very quickly now anyway. So yk as per usual thought i'd ask on here about other people's preferences n stuff.

High.

It helps keep me from binges. Im a big fan of shredded lettuce and sugar free maple syrup. I can get full on 60 calories of it which is hilarious.

High restricting is the way for me because slow and steady wins the race. As far as I'm concerned, as long as you end the day on a calorie deficit, you have won.

It depends. On normal days yes high volume keeps me sane but there are also days where I try to eat as little stuff as possible

Mixture of the two. I aim for low but end up doing high. It’s really annoying that I have no control over it but at least I’m in deficit. I don’t low restriction last year, it helped lose weight but the extreme binges were not worth it. I calculated that I could have opted for high restriction and still lost the same weight instead of low & binging

Low volume for me.
I snack on things like chocolate, lollies, protein bars etc.
High-ish volume before bed is ok though, but during the day I prefer not to feel full

i eat crazy high volume it helps with my binge tendencies but i'm horrifically bloated all the time

some days low, sometimes high

 

like today i don't wanna feel full and just graze on small amounts of junk...

 

when i want to eat higher volume it's mostly bc i'm craving nutrients and just hungrier than normal. i need to buy some lettuce and get back into making salads...

i think that higher volume does a better job of keeping me fuller longer, but smaller volume makes me feel less post-eating bloated so depending on where i am / what i'm wearing / who i'm with, i play with both

LOW! I can’t even handle an apple or a plate of veggies. I come from hardcore bulimic behaviors(AN bp) and feeling full makes me so anxious I have to purge and I try to stop purging so chocolate, cookies, gummy candy and peanut butter is literally the safest stuff for me because it doesn’t fill me up and I’m hungry again soon afterwards which I love

definitely high-volume. low-volume makes me binge much quicker and attracts a lot more comments from other people because what i'm eating doesn't fit their idea of a meal

i LOVEEEEE high volume, i used to purge but once i reached a low weight i stopped
i know this is weird coming for an anorexic but i love stuffing my face with food and feeling my belly full (i end up looking pregnant and is hella weird but is also funny so i always take pics of my body after eating to freak out my friends lol)
i started loving the feeling once i noticed that i sleep good when i'm stuffed and i used to have really bad insomnia so.. high volume
(i do omad and only eat at night before sleeping tho, god forbid from having to walk around looking like spongebob's teacher lmao)

Depends on the day and on my mental state, but both. I still try to keep it as low as possible though. If I've gone to an event or hung out with friends and eaten normally, I'll eat high volume the next day and slowly go down to lower volume to allow my stomach to shrink again so I can feel full faster and prevent a binge.

high volume if im hungry and feel okay with it, low volume if im depressed or insecure.
