it actually does for me too! and with the control i get over myself, it motivates me to try and control everything else (emotions)

Defo. I feel more in control of how I feel. I don’t feel so anxious as long as I know I restricted to what I was meant too. Feels good

Yes, I feel calmer and more in control of my emotions. Its the biggest pro of restriction besides weight loss.

I feel that it brings me purpose and it’s a huge distraction to whatever else is going on in my life. I don’t know about the emotions, I don’t feel much but it’s blocking all the bad things

Yeah I barely feel emotions at all when I'm heavily restricting. As someone with bpd, it's so nice to take breaks from all the emotional disregulation. Best part of my ED aside from the weight loss.

It numbs you but it just hoards all those painful feelings in a dark corner inside you and whenever you try to get better BOOM YOU GOT A WHOLE HOUSE FULL OF PAIN AND SUFFERING
better to feel things in the moment and process them instead of letting them rot inside you. (..I say as I continue to restrict and repress all my emotions...)

Definitely. If I’m sad or angry or upset at myself, I think about what I ate- if it was under 800 Cals I feel relaxed. But if I’m not sure how much it was or it was more everything is shit and falling apart.
