Hey all.

To make a long story short, I was diagnosed with anorexia about 6 years ago. I was at my skinniest then, and have since ballooned by about 100 pounds (45 kg) during recovery. I have recently relapsed into old anorexic behaviors, but feel like I weigh too much to have an eating disorder, since I think by my BMI (36) I'm technically morbidly obese.

Anyone else feel this way or have any advice?

i get the feeling i really do but an ED isnt purely physical, its a mental illness and not something that can always be seen. your struggles are valid.

Same. I'm 266 lbs!

But I'm thinking at an ED is a eating disorder not a weight disorder.

In Norway (I bet we aren't the only one) har

Anorexia nervosa
Atypical Anorexia nervosa

Same with bulimia

But I think it's pretty stupid. If you have it you have it. Like I god diagnosed with atypical bulimic because I wasn't skinny enough to just have bulimia and that triggered me because I felt like a failed. (Stupid? I know)

I'm in a similar boat. Diagnosed with anorexia, later with anorexia B/P, went into recovery and hit a normal weight, then last year went all the way to an obese BMI.

I'm back to the normal BMI range again, but still feel WAY too fat to have an undereating disorder. By the set criteria I no longer have anorexia (though obviously mental disorders don't just disappear), but I'd say that I definitely fit the criteria for EDNOS/OSFED, as I'm anorexic in all but weight class.
