the fridge in my house broke like 2 months ago and our new one has been delayed several times, so we’ve been living out of a small fridge that houses only the essentials — which does not include fresh fruit, only frozen. i can’t eat unrefrigerated fruit because it triggers my ocd, so the apple part of the iu diet is pretty inaccessible to me until likely november.

i was wondering what i could substitute them for if i did this diet? i was thinking eggs, cucumber, or celery. would it just be better to just skip breakfast altogether and essentially just eat sweet potatoes and protein shakes for several days? if i could get anyone’s thoughts on this i’d really appreciate it!

first post so sorry for any mistakes ^^;

You should eat something in the morning. Eggs is a good replacement and maybe you can eat some frozen fruits since they are healthy too. You can eat them frozen like a sweet.

i'm late responding, but i think eggs would be a great replacement, probably healthier in terms of macros ?? im a big believer in CICO, so imo the diet is less about What you eat than how many calories.

(also, i personally just rlly like eggs ... super satisfying as a meal, but at the same time, they don't give me that uncomfortable feeling of fullness, yknow ....)
