This is an accountability thread meant to keep me on track, but feel free to post whatever you like and fast along with me!

I failed a recent fast, but now I have a new mindset (anger!) and I know it's the right one to succees.

 

A bit about me: I did a few very successful fasts, but a long period of travelling made me gain weight from about 140lbs to 175lbs. That is the weight I started out at my first ever fast.

I am a runner who made strong progress when I lost down to 140lbs (63kg & 19bmi). I was forced to stop running and purging, which lead to the heavy weight gain. Today I had a race and I lost 7 minutes of my 5k time and came in breathing horribly.

 

This is a thread about fasting to regain my athletic abilities. Fasting to get stronger. It will later turn into an athletic accountability thread in another forum. It also is an attempt to never purge again. It will be a minimum of 21 days, but if I can, I will fast longer.

 

I will have to see how I can work around my running race scedule:

October 31st

November 6th

November 25th

 

5'11" = 179.5 cm

 

I will drink water, tea and the  diet soda. I will also take minerals in form of saline electrolytes (you get those on Amazon. They taste bad, but they work wonders during fasting).

 

I track my weight once a week. Sometimes more, but only when no one is watching. This way I can get away with fasting longer, because I can tweak the measurements I later have to show to my family. We have a smart scale, but you can out-smart it. I will also post progress pictures when it makes sense.

 

Workouts will be low-intensity. i.e. 1h walk around the streets, some abs, 5 lbs lifting. Throughout the fast I might go on a run, but it really depends on how I am feeling because I almsot passed out multiple times during my last fast  - so I really listen to my body here.

 

I will post everything I drink and do everyday and how many calories I burn off (just so you know)

This works because I already fasted twice for 28 days each, another very successful 30 day fast is linked in my sig. My first fast I went from 175 lbs to 168 lbs and in my second fast I went down to 136 lbs (dropped 6 bmi points and lost 40lbs).  

I am now fasting it off again, and with my intel I can give you a pretty good overwiew of the science and percentages you will likely be facing within your fast. 

 

SW: 175 lbs
CW: 157 lbs = 71.5 kg (last weigh in: October 19, 2021)

BMI: 21.9
5'11'' = 179.5 cm

GW1: 170 lbs
GW2: 165 lbs
GW3: 160 lbs
GW4: 155 lbs
GW5: 150 lbs
GW6: 145 lbs

GW7: 140 lbs


 

Goals: 

Fast for 21 days

Run the October 31st run

Tigh Gap

Fit into THE jeans

Tiny waist

Debloat

1 h 40 m stationary bike 18,69 km, 426,1 kcal burned.
Fast at 14 hours 19 minutes.
Drinking ONLY Water and ginger tea.

1st day losses - 2 kg

Update:
Today did 2 h in my stationary bike, 22,34km, 509,3 kcal burned.
Go rest now...

Day 2 almost done!

Weigh in: 76.9kg (bmi 24.3) down 2 pounds! :)

 

Today I had:

Ton of diet soda

1 cube broth

1 iced coffee with almond milk (15 cals)

Fruit & cucumber infused water

 

 

I like Infusing my own water, it tastes really nice and you don't have to take all the crap from diet soda.

Usually I'll just cut up some oranges, apples, cucumber, lemons, and other citrus fruits and put them in a big jug. Makes me feel like THAT girl!

 

Will go on a walk tonight!

Good morning to day 3!

Total lost: 3.4 kg (now at 166 lbs - 23.2 bmi)

 

I went on a 20 minute walk today and drank my infused water while I was at it.

One more day and I'm past the "dangerous 4"! (the first 4 days where you are most likely to break the fast)
