I'm 35 yes old and I have been restricting my calories significantly and barely any changes for 2 weeks.
Given I have a chronic illness and cannot work out except for slow walks...I'm doing everything I can. I feel so defeated. I could drop weight fast when I was younger.

I was wondering if anyone feels this way either? Thanks for letting me vent.

I dont think so unless you have medical conditions like a problem with your thyroid. But even then its still possible to lose weight just takes longer to lose. Age in itself doesnt interfere with not losing it just comes off slower in some people. My mom in her mid 40s lost 150 pounds. She went from 300 pounds to 150 pounds so its possible at any age.
Hw-165lbs lw-80lbs cw-144.2 lbs gw-105lbs when I was 17 years old hw- was 210 but I was just giving info on hw for this time around.
Thinness equals success, never give up, never give in!

Not significantly... There was a study posted in MPA 2.0. I'll look and link it if I can find it.

Yes, your metabolism slows down as you age.

Still, people of all ages are capable of weight loss. Losing weight might just take a little longer for someone who is older than for someone who is a teenager.
