I'm on a serious mission to lose at least 20lbs as I'm at a new heaviest weight which is making me depressed. I thought I'd post this so we could all share advice, opinions, help or diet buddies?

How much weight have you lost eating around 500 calories a day??
Also how long did it take you?
And what are your stats?

SW: 11 stone 1 / 155 lbs / 70 kg

CW: 10 stone 11 / 151 lbs / 68.5 kg

GW1: 10 stone 8 / 148 lbs / 67 kg

GW2: 10 stone 4 / 144 lbs / 65 kg
GW3: 10 stone / 140 lbs / 63 kg

GW4: 9 stone 10 / 136 lbs / 61 kg

hmm. My  calorie intake used to be between 300 and 500. I lost a shitton of weight, about 0.5 kilograms a day, but my metabolism was faster and i binged a lot ! that happens if you restrict too much, particularly when just starting out....it is better to start gentle, at least 1200-1500 calories a day - even 1800 if you want - and gradually lower it as you learn what your body finds acceptable. 

 

Stats are - 5"7 (.5?) 

                  CW - 58.6 kilograms (BMI 20 ish)

                   HW: CW (?)

                    LW: 51.4 (BMI 16 ish)

I lost almost 15 pounds in a month by eating 500 calories a day. I was losing about .6 pounds a day.

Hmm. Usually I can only keep up 500 a day for a couple weeks at most.

The first time my range was 400-600 I think I lost about 10 pounds in less than two weeks? Though that was coming off weeks of overeating soo.

The second time i did 500ish a day I lost about 8 pounds in one week. It really depends if you're coming off of binging or not. After a week things will slow down so it's good to change up your cals. 400-1000 has always been a good range for losing for me (usually 0.4-1.5 pounds lost each day)

I was on 500 calories diet last year. It worked for me I lost 20+ pounds in 3 months and maintain my lowest weight at 100 pounds for a year. But then i had to study overseas last january and could not control my diet 😢 im at 110 pounds now so heavy 😭😭

My net intake was 443 yesterday and I lost a pound, my intake was about 900, I really wasn't expecting to lose anything :) so you'll definitely lose fast, I personally can't do 500 for a long time though, but if you can then you should ~

How much weight did you lose? And how long did it take you? I'm drinking a load of Tava tea to help my metabolism! X

over 3 days i could lose up to 2 kilograms or more. but during this time i was binging every 3 days or so because of my low intake though - it's worth bearing that in mind.

So today is Day 3! Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2lbs! Yeessss! Yesterday I had only lost.2 so already felt disheartened. I know it will probably be water weight bla bla bla but I already feel much better! Ate really healthily and drank loads of green tea. I did eat over, but still lost!

Been eating under 500 a day since May 10th (so 24 days ago) and I've lost 17 lbs so far. I'm plateaued right now because of mother nature  <_<

I'll start 300-500cal a Day diet today. Lean protein & veggies only. Water & some diet coke. No carbs! Who's in? :)) send me a text. Did it already for a week & it's working soooo good! I used To have cottage cheese with cucumber, eggs, Salad & fish. But mostly cottage cheese :)

Day 4 and another 1.4lbs off! Yay! Keeping me motivated for another day. Yesterday I waited until dinner and had some lamb chops with veg and then half a banana with yoghurt. oh and a load of green tea all day! Xx

So cool, keep going! I only eat from 1-6pm (5h) so it's low, but good calories & intermittent fasting in one ☺️

This is day 7 for me on 500 calories. I've lost 3 lbs so far. Although the first two day I ate way over 500 calories. I just gradually tapered down to 500, I think it would be hard to just start out with 500 you have to let your body adjust to it. Now it's not that bad at all. I need to lose at least 50 lbs my GW is 100 and my UGW is 95 :) I've lots of good recipes if anyone would be interested :) You would think it would be hard but nah it's not really. Just lots of fruits and veggies and LOTS of water! I'm a Nutritional Director so counting calories is my job! Lol!

I'll join you on that front, I've been slowly lowering my intake to lean protein and veggies (plus sun warrior protein powder) for a while now. I'm comfortable now with the foods but would like to cap the calories.

i make the ABC-Diet now...is day 40 from 51 days and i have lost 10kg now...my weight was 62kg before by 165cm...my goal is 40kg for the summer...i think i can reach this

i make exercise for 2hours every day...running and swimming...

Wow so we're the same height and you were my weight that's really good congrats on doing the ABC for so long! I don't think I could do it.. Maybe eventually? Are you now 52kg?

smile...yes my weight is really 51,4kg today and the first days was hard but now is easy for me and my weight goes down day for day...is a good diet...

Me too, I only eat from 6 to 11 PM. Low cal and intermittent fasting together
