I should have started this when I returned, I have now lost a stone which is 14lb, but I am still in the 200+ category and do not like it very much at all. I’m not sure if I have a goal weight currently main thing is to get down as far as I can, out of the very obese, out of obese into healthy weight range, my issue is for some reason even at the higher end of the healthy weight range folk think I look too thin, and that’s down to my illnesses that I have little muscle mass so I look bunt, even at this weight due to lack,of muscle my hip bones re quite easily feel and prominent!

main thing is at the moment I know I am restricting much too far and it isn’t sustainable, but I can’t eat much or I end saying f it and living in binge mode, I don’t purge, as I have health issues that cause me breathing and swallowing issues as it is and that could well be fatal! So I don’t go there, so what goes in stays in, I do occasionally use laxatives but helped mess my body up with those when younger so try and avoid them only using them for genuine necessities.

I want to be able to go back into any shop and find clothing that fits me, I want to be able to find sewing patterns easily that fit, I want to not feel self conscious if I dare eat anywhere other than my own home, my own mother judges me every time I eat, I love lettuce it’s my favourite food a d eat it alone by the tub and she will still complain that it’s weird, not normal, I eat too much, even my sparkling water she tells me I eat too much,

im 43 with a daughter of my own who’s behaviour is diabolical so stress levels are immense, awe home educate her as best we can when she will cooperate and she likes to cause trouble! I want to be able to get my weight down so she doesn’t think I’m just a fat useless mother, instea dill new slimmer useless mother!

Thank you. I just feel so,disheartened seeing how far I have to go, it seems to go on a lot quicker than it comes off. I am barely mobile, due to my health issues so can’t exercise which is crap.

I'm in the same boat. Just wanted to stop by and say that you're doing well, just focus on the day's goal and try not to look at the UGW too much if it's making you feel worse. ♡

Thank you. I somehow need to figure out smaller more achievable mini goals but do not know how or where to set those really. At least then I may feel I am making progress.

For me, what helps for my day to say is saying things like. "I'll drink x amount of water." Or "say no to x amount of snacks" [I'm a really bad snacker]. In the long run it all helps, but they're easily attainable goals for me in just one day.

I hope this sparks some ideas for you on what suits your needs :)

Thank you, that’s a good idea. Just have to try remain motivated to reach the end goal. It’s harder the further away it seems.

Oh yeah. It gets to me sometimes too. It feels like "am I just kidding myself?" When I look at my UGW.
I think thats why there's such an important part of mini goals and step goals [like GW1, GW2, etc]. Setting things that are more readily achievable is way more motivating, atleast to me.

I hope this also helps you feel less alone.

Thank you it does help, it seems that we are alone sometimes with health issues and being so big and not wanting to be. It seems so overwhelming with everything else I have to try and deal with just now, but it’s the reason I’m back on the wagon as it feels, like everything else is so far out of control this I can maybe claw onto.

Great work losing 14 lbs! I know how you feel about getting to the overweight from the obese category.
I'm counting my days lol. (was 25lbs away when I started back at MPA and now I'm 13.8lbs away)

THank you so much, it helps having folk rooting for you, it is hard and you have done amazingly. It seems such a Strange thing to want, to be in the overweight category but that would be a significant weight loss which is a darn good start. I know being so overweight amplifies my other health issues so I then feel guilty for being ill as I feel it’s my own fault.

IF this is accurate, and I can find some self control and will power I may not be quite as unreachable as I feared.

Oh my god you scared me at a glance I thought you were saying you hit 647lbs you poor thing I'm sorry about your health issues, but I wish you wouldn't call yourself useless. Useless people don't homeschool.

Losing 14lbs is great, and you're only 2lbs away from a major milestone! Don't worry about long term goals too much. like Empty said, it helps to focus on short term goals so you don't get overwhelmed :) set goals you can achieve in like 2 weeks.

Kids are normally naughty, but the way your mother treats you could be affecting her too. Be better to yourself than your mother is to you so you can be there for her. Even if you feel useless, it means a lot to a child for mom just to be there. Take care of yourself so you can take care of the people you love ❤

Thank you, being present at the moment is something I am struggling with, she is very insecure, but she is also a stubborn little soul which I think explains some of her behavioural challenges it’s insecurity with no other outlet, she is only 7 so doesn’t have the words to,express thjngs, she’s gone through a lot really with me being whisked off,to hospital at a moments notice when my body craps, out, my mother is injured, we have lost two family pets recently ( not ours but close family) and everything else. So sometimes we simply have to be.

she’s got into bad eating habits and is larger than she should be but I won’t allow her to diet, but if we can cut back on the crap it will help her too. I feel useless as I can’t get her to do much, I can’t do much, my husband doesn’t do much, everything is in disarray and I feel it’s my fault.

today we so needed food for her and my husband but I don’t have any money to get any at the moment, im panicking about how we get anything for her for Christmas, we can’t afford basics let alone extras.

of course my husband just thinks it all sorts itself as it’s me that busts my bum to try and figure it all out.

I have found my sugar free lemon sherbets and cola sherbets and 2 sweeties are 23 calories. So that’s quite good for when really in need of a flavour hit. I tried one of the SF clear fruit drops and they were not very flavourful so won’t bother with those.

Todays totals, I may add a a few of my other days, mainly just so I can look back, I am sure a lot of my issue is of when to weigh as if I don’t sLeepI can be significantly  more than when I did, but I don’t have to have eaten anything, I think it’s as I drink a lot of water and black coffee. So if I do weigh daily I’ll probably choose a day of the week to have as the start and end and then add it all up and divide by 7 to give an average daily loss and a total weeks loss ( I’m being hopeful aren’t I that I won’t get fatter) I only started again 10 days ago and have lost 14lb, which isn’t great really for the first lot off.
