In my experience, you will simply have to wait until the food mass passes through your digestive system. So, depending on your body, 1-3 days or so (it truly depends on your body). You may also have to simply do some exercises to keep your body burning excess energy. My personal habit is to do a few short & simple exercises each time I visit the restroom--leaning pushups or squats are a personal favorite to keep my muscles engaged :)

Depends, some days it takes 24hrs. Other times it can take up to 3 days but it usually sheds off quick. Like another user said, not using the scale for a few days might help avoid some of the stress.
