no advice is working for me, and it’s approaching winter time, has anyone just forced themselves into restriction. Focused all their brain power on restricting, doing everything they can to not eat. did it work?

Agree.  If you want to change a deeply ingrained habit that's reinforced by instant gratification of the brain's pleasure center, then you must behave differently in response to The URGE.  There's resistance and inertia when you do a 180-degree change in direction.

A body in motion will continue to move in the same direction unless acted upon by an outside FORCE over time.

If you can ride the wave of discomfort and learn how to comfort yourself in other ways besides binging -- distract yourself by focusing on your breathing, for instance -- and you keep doing it and doing it and doing it, you'll replace the old habit with a new one.

Yes, you CAN!

If it were easy, then EVERYONE would Just Do It!

Good luck!

You are not alone, hon.  Hang in there.  Keep quitting the old; keep substituting the new.  Never Never Never NEVER give up!

85% of success is simply showing up.  Be here now for you.  You are worth it.
