Sorry had to do that.

I have never used weight watchers but I have thought about it on a few occasions  Is anyone here on weight watchers? I would like to know what the program is like. I do know that out of all the planed diets out there this is one of the best ones because they stress the importance of learning portion control. That more than anything helps people lose weight. But I wanted a perspective on it from a pro-ana side of things. I could easily look up what weight watchers is like but I'm betting it would be harder to find what it would be like if say your calorie goals were smaller than the average weight watchers attendee.

I was on it this time last year, i can not for the life of me remember what my calorie goal was. I must admit though joining WW is where my downwards spiral into my ED started, as i got quite consumed with counting the points, which now is the calories. I didn't last long on it because i could no longer warrant the $30 a month they were charging, so i began using free iPhone apps like fitness pal.

It was good how it had the tools to help you and it did allow for binges with "bonus points" however i'd prefer to be calorie counting like i am now.

Afraid i can't help you too much from an ana perspective as WW is where it began for me and back then, my mindset wasn't as strong as it is now...if that makes even the slightest bit of sense. Im tired :P

Yeah I wasn't sure how much you could get away with and I know that they have recipes and stuff like that. But yeah I agree with you that if I just hunt for things a little bit then I can find all that I need on the internet for free. I definetly don't have the $30 a month spare. I am strugeling just to pay bills at the moment.

I used it almost 4 years ago, I did it online and it helped me learn portion control. (after a bad time of gaining weight.) I was on it for a year or so and with WW and just restricting I lost over 75lbs. (Went from my highest of 205lbs down to 125lbs in about a year.)

My parents got a point tool from a family friend and a guide book and figured it out on their own. 1 of them lost over 100lbs. It was amazing. I'm honestly considering it and lowering my points allowed

I lost 90 lbs on WW.  I went from 215 lbs to 120 (BMI high 17s) and have absolutely no loose skin.  My boobs went from DD's to B's.  They're even perky!  I love it.

Now, the program itself is wonderful, and it has given me my success.  However, the meetings and members of the WW community - not so much.   They do not want you to get to anything but the middle of your BMI range (ie 23 or above).   Most members have goal weights of 24 or 25 BMI, so it's hard for me to relate to that, and the quantity of people with such low expectations of themselves pisses me off.

I buy Weight Watchers dinners as they are low in calories and help me stay within my daily limit. They don't taste too bad. I've also tried their fat free yoghurts which are really nice and only around 60 kcal a pot. I intend to try some of their other products too but I know nothing about their points system.

I always thought W.  Watchers was like a club; I didn't realize you had to PAY to join!  Just blows my mind - I figure, at least w/Jenny Craig you pay, but they send you food ....

Ww was cool for a while but I notice I majorly took a detour while on plan...I would make sure to eat wayyyyyyyyyyyy less than I was suppose to...and like...I feel bad cuz the goal weight I had in mind is considered beyond unhealthy to them...
Instead of having 26pts a day I would have less than ten...

I'm kinda on WW right now, like I count calories/points with a book and calculator...but I lowered my point intake. I'm supposed to be shaving 26 pts but I lowered that to like 13...not even aha!

I use weight watchers now and have been since January.  Its helped me lose 20lbs! I like being able to use the bar code app and have it tell me how many points everything is.  I get 26 points every day but I try to use as few as possible.  I also really like weight watchers because all fruits and vegetables are 0 points so whenever I'm feeling hungry I can just grab something healthy and not have to worry about adding to my points that day.  Hope this helps! If anyone has any other questions about WW feel free to message me :)

I love weight watchers. I'm on 26 points a day I try not to go anywhere near that though.
I think the thing that works best for mr is the weekly weigh in, I can't possibly go to a meeting if I think I have gained cause I would be so ashamed so if really help me stay on track a lot more.

I don't understand the points and all that, but the dinners are yummy and low enough in calories also the bread is really good because 1 slice is only 47 cals which is pretty awesome for a slice of bread!

I have lost 20.6lbs so far on weight watchers however it has taken forever! Finally I realized what it took for me to lose weight more quickly. I get 26 points per day and I don't use all of them. I don't use any of the extra points, and I don't eat all the fruit I want. I started on the diet in 1/15/14 so you can see how slow things have been. Now things are going a little better. Hope this helps people that find they are not losing weight on this diet. Not saying you need to do what I am doing, just saying what has helped me.

I'm still actively going to WW.  Discovered the same thing as you did. I don't even count points anymore. I went back to calorie counting and the weight flew off.  I do like the meetings.
