i want you to live a long fulfilling life. i genuinely do.

Although, we can't deny that our lives are fragile and mysterious.

I also FEEL Hugo when he says “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.”

if you could appear as a "ghost" standing over your corpse, what one song would you choose to hear in the background?

Use what you have experienced/are experiencing in your life to help you decide (as the songs we relate to affect us most)

Feel free to post lyrics/videos. Or feel free to post nothing at all.

Personally, Keane stands out to me. I wept the entire drive home the first time i heard it and never get sick of listening to it.

You'll follow me back

With the sun in your eyes
And on your own
And legs of stone
You'll knock on my door
And up we'll go
In white light
I don't think so
But what do I know?
What do I know?

well considering my family... because we have "seen and felt" certain things (its hereditary)... we never really say goodbye.  i wanted to promise the promise my relatives had before me, and bloody hell family... dont cry to much for me lol.

(remix version) time after time - cyndi lauper

After my picture fades and darkness has
Turned to gray
Watching through windows
You're wondering if I'm okay
Secrets stolen from deep inside
The drum beats out of time

If you're lost you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you, I will be waiting
Time after time

After I watched Titanic for the first time when I was little, I immediately knew this was the song I wanted to be played at my funeral.

Despite it being MY funeral I just know I'd catch some kind of telepathic shit coz I'd want Your Reasons by the Bunny the Bear or maybe Hello by Evanescence (that's if I HAD to use an 'appropriate' song)

I thought I was the only one who thinks about stuff like this.

The radiators - Faithful departed would be my song.

It has a nice vibe to it that makes me happy and relaxed, saying that life goes on and stuff.

And it also has a lot of Irish culture references in it so it feels like home.

Look after you by the fray. My fav song <3

"It is, at the most basic level, a bundle of contradictions: a desire for power that strips you of all power. A gesture of strength that divests you of all strength.”

“You’re not dead, but you’re not alive, either... caught in between the worlds. You're a ghost with a beating heart."

"You're not thin, you're not fat and you look like you've been drunk for a week - You're bulimic!"

“It is your secret shame and your greatest accomplishment all in one. It is like Stockholm syndrome where you have fallen irrevocably in love with the terrorist holding you prisoner — the need to please them outweighs all common sense.”

"You are imperfect, permanently and inevitably flawed. And you are beautiful."

“I lift my arm out of the water. It's a log. Put it back under and it blows up even bigger. People see the log and call it a twig. They yell at me because I can't see what they see. Nobody can explain to me why my eyes work different than theirs. Nobody can make it stop.”

"Just because you know you're colourblind doesn't mean you can see the colours."

I really like Concrete Angel by Martina McBride.

but that might not be a good funeral song - I'd choose Knowing What I Know About Heaven by Sarah Darling:

"Knowing what I know about Heaven

Believing that you're all the way home

Knowing that you're somewhere better

Is all I need to let you go.

I could hope that I could pray you back

But why on earth would I do that?

When ypu're somewhere where life and love never ends

Knowing what I know about heaven..."

Not only are the lyrics obviously beautiful, and do I love the thought of me really being better off in heaven - and everyone else knowing that too....but Sarah Darling's voice is so beautiful and just fucking serene - melodic and sad and beautiful all at once - funeral worthy.

***We know we are only worth it; if we can be perfectYet strange enough; our failures are just one defectThe real defect is in our hearts; we want another chanceInstead of walking in the shadows; we promise we'll danceWe'll dance with such beauty and graceTwists and turns; bounds and leaps, right into your embrace, before we fall into EMPTY SPACE***

***Food is a part of life,

but I am not a part of this life.

Food is medicine,

but I do not know wellness.

Food is living,

and I do not want to be alive***

Always here for support and to lend an ear or give a huge virtual hug.

Remember none of you are alone in this fight. In this life.
