I don't know if this will get many replies but I thought it could be fun to share what books are being read. It could be a great place to get book suggestions as well.

I'm currently reading Blue Moon by laurel k Hamilton.

It's part of a series. It's about a vampire hunter. It's my guilty pleasure read for the month.

Our Lady of the Forest by David Guterson (which I actually already read 13 years ago and loved, so I had to reread it) and Rebel Hearts: Journeys Within the IRA's Soul by Kevin Toolis.

My focus and concentration skills are so bloody awful now, though. I began reading at a very young age and I used to be a huge bookworm. I'd read for hours at a time. Even well after my depression and ED began. I don't know what changed, but reading is usually quite difficult for me now. :(

Don't know if it counts, it's a book I need to read to help with my dissertation:

"Accountability for Human Rights Atrocities in International Law"

It's as dry as it sounds :P

I've read all of laurel k hamiltons books but I like the merry gentry series better than the Anita Blake one. The Anita Blake series just kind of.... Gets really bad after a while. None of the ones that have come out in the last five years have really been good. But I love the early work!!

I'm currently reading Meridon by Phillipa Gregory

"The Witches' Hammer" by Heinrich Kramer, in German. It is basically the guide that was used to prove, find, persecute and prosecute witches in Europe in the 15th century.

"Pique Dame" by Alexander Pushkin, in Russian.

So far it's not very good.

Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute, an hour, a day, even a year. Even five years, ten years. But eventually? It will subside. And something else will take it's place. But if you give up? It will last forever.

My demons used to chase me. But now we are on the same side.

Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk, also on audiobook on Youtube.

Synopsis: A supermodel who has been shot in the face, leaving her with a hideous disfigurement that will change her life forever. While adjusting to this new life, Shannon meets Brandy Alexander, a flamboyant transgender who teaches Shannon that a person's past does not have to define their future.

Entertaining with lots of plot twists, drugs, glamour, partying, robbing the rich, and murder. 9/10
