Just finished The Sorcerer of the Wildeeps by Kai Ashante Wilson. Very different and not sure I fully understood it but quite cool. Now reading The Book of Phoenix by Nnedi Orokofor. Finally making my way through a backlog of books I want to read.

What are you reading?

Currently reading The Star Rover by Jack London which I'm adding to my favourite books list even though I haven't finished it. And reading another book for my uni's bookclub but I have yet to start the second chapter.

I'm reading the flavia de luce series and I'm really enjoying it. Didn't think it would be my type but I'm glad I was wrong. Currently reading 'as chimney sweepers come to dust'
(but I'm also reading a million books for school that aren't that exciting)

I just finished The Lovely Bones and I actually really enjoyed it. I re-watched the movie after about a decade and I was really disappointed.

It's written from the point of view of a metalhead who is so judgemental and misogynistic that it makes me mad. The thing is that although I hate the character, it's written really well and it's so believable (I know people who act and live exactly like this dude).
I hope I can finish it this month because I have so many other books that I'm excited to start reading.

A Promised Land - Obama (dull, dull, dull, unless you are REALLY into the minutiae of politics...but I started it so now I have to finish it, right?)
also Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami, thanks to a recommendation I found on here. It's amazing so far.

Axioms End by Lindsay Ellis. It is very good, and if you enjoy science fiction and early 2000's nostalgia I would recommend it.

"Kidnapped" by Robert Louis Stevenson. So far, it's an enjoyable boys' adventure novel - no more, no less.

I just finished the Uglies main series. I didn't read Extras because it has different main characters and I'm not quite ready to move on from Tally and Shay and everyone yet (even though Tally and David make an appearance in Extras). I was going to start City of Bones but honestly I might just re-read Uglies. I have attachment issues.
I loved that series, you've totally made me want to go read that again!

currently finishing up Scarlet by Marissa Meyer in her Lunar Chronicles series... i cant put these books down o__o
Broke down and put myself back together again
Stared in the mirror and punched it to shatters
Collected the pieces and picked out a dagger
I've pinched my skin in between my two fingers
And wished I could cut some parts off with some scissors

Le Parfum- Histoire D 'Un Meurtrier (Perfume: The Story of a Murderer), I'm reading it in French because I am trying to improve my French reading comprehension skills. I loved the movie when I saw it many years ago, so I thought I would finally read the book.
