I lost about 70 pounds in 4-5 months. I was just finished breastfeeding so i had a lot of weight to lose, which does make it easier. ( Only opportunity I've had to lose weight when not already on the lower side of bmi's)It's harder to lose the lower you are.
For the first 30lbs I exercised for about an hour a day on an elliptical and restricted and fasted often. Once I lost 30lbs my energy levels were depleted and I started exercising less with severe restriction and occasional fasting. Once I lost about 60lbs I wasn't able to really successfully fast or vigoursely(sp?) Exercise anymore so I resorted to severe restriction, whih is where I am
now.

I went from between 171-175 lbs. back mid Feb. this year to 122 lbs by the 2nd week of June this year. (That's 53 lbs. ) I ate between 350-1200 cals. per day, other than 3 days where I had some sweets or extra fruits. I walked at least an hour, 5 days per week and used upper arm weights. I have been upping my calories a bit since the end of July and quickly put about 3 lbs. back on which I am now lowering myself back down again.... and will aim for 105-110 lbs hopefully by the end of September or by mid October. My goal is 10-12 lbs. per month. Goals, goals, goals!!!

I have lost 105 lbs so far (230-125) 5'7. I did it all with regular diet and exercise minus 27 lbs lost from the Master Cleanse (when I went from 180-153). I lost all of that weight in a year. That was 10 years ago and my weight has fluctuated between 120-125 ever since. In the past year however, I have lost 5 lbs but have gone from 22% to 19% BF through weightlifting and proper diet. It has made by far the most difference in how I look. I currently just started a 1000 cal diet to lose ideally another 10 lbs of fat.
I DO NOT recommend the master cleanse, ever. My stomach has been messed up ever since and I can't even smell cayenne pepper without wanting to puke. I did it for 27 days in July quite a few years ago. It was unpleasant in pretty much every way: tastes terrible, constant cravings, upset stomach/violent diarrhea, skin broke out in a rash, shivered non stop despite how hot it was, etc.
Effective yes but any other juice cleanse would work just as well and you'd feel a million times better with actual nutrition.

I lost 115 in a year and a half.
You can literally do it eating 1200 cals and exercising bc when you're overweight/obese the weight comes off real easy. I lost the first 30 pounds in like a month.

I mean, I was really sick. I would eat only 500 calories, and I would exercise a lot.
I always burned off at least 500 calories, so I always had a negative net weight.
I WOULD NOT recommend it. I got really sick during this time.
