How to look less innocent? I have this lame baby face and getting carded is great and all, but I would love to look less like a goody goody or a skipper doll. Any suggestions? I mean come on!! Taylor Momsen got past it. So did Mae Whitman. I just saw her on parenthood tonight and was envious.

I have this problem too. People treat me like I'm 12.

I look a lot younger than I am. If I wear decent eye makeup I tend to look closer to my age though :)

Maybe some facial peircings. Lots of them.

Ahahah no.
But Frozen made a good point, look up some tutorials of face contouring makeup maybe.
This is an off chance but do you have very light hair on your eyebrows?
I've heard that light eyebrows tend to make a person look younger.

I have olive/yellow under toned skin, bright brown eyes, and the darkest shade of brown hair (nearly black).

I use to do black eye liner all around, but recently changed up my eye makeup. I do it a bit Audrey Tautou inspired like I started using shadow along the bottom lashes ( like a dark brown or bronze gold b band brown) a white shadow on the bottom closer to the eye (to make my eye look bigger). I use black liquid liner on the top though.

I'm in my mid 20s. I don't want to look old, but I'm tired of looking like a goody goody due to my kid face. I know when I'm 40 kid face will be awesome, but I just want my outside appearance to show what I am on the inside. Every one makes up these lame ideas of who I am based off of appearance and holds me to it and never gets to know the real me or even cares to. It's frustrating when everyone just puts their own ignorant perception on you.

highlight goes on your cheekbones, brow bones, and cupids bow. bronzer on the hollows of your cheeks, sometimes on the side of your nose. make sure you blend into your neck so you don't look like you're wearing a mask :P

if I've been purging a lot I'll use that to make it less obvious my face and neck are swollen

I feel silly for asking this, but is there literally a makeup item called a highlighter?

I have a palette that comes with it (NYC color individual eyes), but I'm fairly sure you can. anything that's colorless with a slight shimmer would work (not sparkly) however

People usually assume I'm younger than I am, I take it as a compliment. It might be annoying now, but ten years from now you'll be glad.
Maybe try dressing in mature color schemes? Stuff like heels and dresses might help.
