i've just started doing this again in a desperate attempt to lose and not binge.

i can see myself spending too much money on this oh god...

it's nice to see that i'm not alone (i thought i was) but i'm also really sad to know

that other people struggle with this too.

i'm really scared of it becoming an addiction. 

but i guess it's still better than purging, so oh well.

been doing it for almost 6 years full time on C/S now...before this i was bulimic for 3 years... 

it's very hard to quit, especially now my body just does it automatically. very hard to swallow food unless i pay close attention while eating.

 

I'm trying to control myself to do this less often now....

before i would spend prob about $50/day on doing this, some session would last for more than 3-4 hours. I would c/s a whole meal, if I think i swallow too much food I would purge.

 

it's kinda getting better now, but still doing it too much.

For me, it has gotten to the point where if I try to eat anything outside of what is "safe," I spit it out after just a few bites because my mind begins to freak out.

I fucking love chewing & spitting tbh. I forget about it often though (sounds stupid af but whatever). I wanna start doing it daily again because I was losing sooo well on it

Ugh, I miss c/sing. It's just not 100% as enjoyable as it used to be. There are some foods that I just have to swallow or I won't be satisfied, which leads to me just eating it when i planned on c/s. 

I'm gonna start trying it out again, it really helped with weight loss, and this weight really needs to go down.

I kind of miss it. I don't know if I gained or loss weight, but I probably gained. (I didn't have a scale.) It's too expensive, and it smells bad.

Thank heavens for this thread, I feel so much less alone now. I go on multiple C/S shopping trips a day, under my bed is just hoarded food and trash bags brimming with spat out food...

 

I C/S everything. First time round, I lost a lot of weight, but now I'm regaining it somehow :(

 

I worry a lot about my teeth.

on the real tho, the worst part is the lack of satisfaction. I enjoy the taste, but there's something about not getting to swallow that is incredibly unsatisfying.

Tbh at first I thought I was the only one who did this, and just recently found out I'm not the only one. Honestly for me the problem I have with C/S is I'll go out of my way and spend like an hour cooking food and C/S it and throw it out. All of it. Anyone else do this? I feel extremely guilty to eat, and disgusting. idk.

I c/s pretty much everything. I have to.

 

My favorite thing to c/s is dark chocolate truffels. They are so chocolatey and they melt in your mouth, and leave a strong taste. It's not hard to get it all out either. <33

God, I used to have a serious addiction to chewing and spitting. I got acid reflux and had to go to to a doctor because they thought I might have had an ulcer. This habit ultimately led to bulimia for me because I just started saying "fuck it" and swallowing the food and throwing it up out of regret/fear of weight gain.

5'3.5" | 26 years old | Vegan

 

Diagnosed with anorexia at age 16, bulimia at 18, recovered a few years, now losing weight again.

Trying to stick to restricting, but I have (too many) days of "normal" eating, overeating, binging & purging
that I need to stop.

 

HW: 174 (age 13)

LW: 106 (age 16)

(Recovery ages 16-21, ballooned to almost 160, got back down to 120s)

MPA SW: 125

(got down to 121 & then gained to ~150 fml)
CW: in the 150s, too scared to check

I want to walk in the snow and not leave a footprint.

This thread got me thinking

TBH I don't know why I don't C/S more often.

I did it in the early days of my ED.

I should go back to it.

I don't particularly like the swallowing part of binging, and I find it easy to not swallow. And I make a mess puking all the time anyways. Might as well do the same but without the stomach acid...

One thing that helps give me satisfaction while C/Sing is to swallow a bite of low calorie food (such as fruit/vegetables) between each bite I C/S.
