Hey guys
my hands are getting this blue-ish appearance...especially around the base of my thumbs
just wondering whether it's anything to alarmed by....

it's due to restriction and low blood sugar which decreases your circulation. It's normal, given your behaviors. It's also a very widely recognized sign of starvation, and given that it isn't probably that cold out (late spring and all) you may want to cover your nails with polish to keep ppl from noticing.

but the problems with nail polish is that i find some way or another to pick it off (habit), which makes my ails look brittle

Get acrylics or gels then.
I've come too far to let a cookie tell me what to do.
